Role Summary
Manages education and professional relations programs including developing and providing CE courses, authoring professional journal articles, assisting with the lunch & learn program, assisting with KOLs and professional association liaisons, and collaborating on professional social media programs
Role Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver live and virtual continuing education courses
- Manage Waterpik® branded webinar program including instructor selection, system set-up, and running the event
- Direct the self-study continuing education program including authoring and updating courses.
- Manage the dental professional communications program; dental professional newsletter
- Write articles for textbooks, print and digital publications and social media
- Assist in developing and executing quality metrics and evaluation tools for the lunch and learn program and of professional educators including ride alongs.
- Provide the voice of dental hygiene for our professional social media presence
- Assist with identifying and supporting professional relations for individual US dentists and dental hygienists and professional organizations
- Manage the AGD PACE certification program
- Assist with tradeshows
Operating Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking to large audiences
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting within marketing and on cross-functional teams/projects
- Strong networking and relationship building skills
- Ability to manage and prioritize projects and tasks
- Ability to give and receive feedback
- Understand scientific principles; can evaluate and explain research to grassroots practitioners in an easy, understandable manner
- Savvy with social media
- Ability to stay abreast of current dental industry trends including products, research, and new technology
- Ability to work remotely and autonomously
- Support of the company’s mission and values, and the Code of Conduct
Education and Experience
- Dental hygiene license
- Degree in dental hygiene
- Bachelor’s degree; business/management related, leadership, or dental hygiene required
- Master’s degree in business/management related, leadership or dental hygiene preferred
- Experience with academic institutions, the dental industry, and professional association leadership highly preferred
- Experience writing and delivering CE courses highly preferred
- 5 years’ experience in dental hygiene including clinical, teaching, and corporate
Other Qualifications & Physical Requirements
- Work week often exceeds 40 hours and may include evenings and weekends, especially when traveling
- Travel; about 50% including overnight;
- Must be physically able to manage luggage including transporting a laptop computer
- Must be able to stand up to 9 hours per day when working tradeshows or presenting courses
