Position Summary:

This position will be responsible for safety, quality and productivity of all equipment on a high speed manufacturing line including unscrambler, filler, case former, case sealer, case packer. You will be responsible for performing receipt of all raw materials necessary to maintain support of manufacturing production lines. Perform and assist with machine startup/shutdown operations of all equipment in production areas including:  filler, Douglas case wrap, case sealer, Hartness case packer, and palletizer/stretch wrapper. Assist with general operations in various areas as needed throughout the daily production schedules.uction schedules.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible at all times for promoting a safety culture and awareness throughout the Plant and within their area.  Support and adhere to all plant safety policies and procedures at all times. 

  • Ensure accuracy of incoming raw materials (bottles, caps, corrugate, etc.) as matched to bills of lading, and enter quantities into the system. 

  • Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts, physical inventories, etc. for all raw materials. 

  • Safe operation of all material handling equipment, including stand-up forklifts, pallet jacks, etc. 

  • Utilization of computerized WMS (warehouse management system) for assigned work. 

  • Supply and stage manufacturing lines with proper raw materials necessary to run production orders via work order. 

  • Retrieves materials by locating and verifying materials; stacking materials on trolley system; moving materials to production location; stacking materials at production location. 

  • Assist with the training and certification program as needed. 

  • May perform other duties as needed, including work in other functional areas to cover absences or relief, to equalize peak work periods, or to otherwise balance the workload

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • 3-5 years experience forklift experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment preferred   

  • Previous experience with WMS, material handling and/or inventory control preferred
